The Polk Jackson Perry Fire Department will strive to serve the community of Polk and the townships of Jackson and Perry by providing fire, rescue, EMS and special services using funds provied by our community in an efficent manner.
Polk Jackson Perry Fire District is staffed with 1 Full-Time member 24/7. We currently supplement with Part-Time staffing 7 days a week from 8 AM-5 PM. After 5 PM we rely on paid on-call firefighters or EMTs to supplement the Full Time staff for calls.
The Fire District provides Fire and EMS coverage to the Village of Polk, Jackson Township, as well as part of Perry Township. The Approximate size of the coverage area is 47 square miles.
Call volume averages around 500 calls annually. 2021 was the department's busiest year with 522 calls total.
The Polk Jackson Perry Fire District provides in home smoke detector installation and replacement through the Red Cross.
