In July 2022, the district applied for grant funding to hire and staff two (2) additional full-time personnel. Recently the district was awarded this funding. The funding from the Ohio First Responder Recruitment, Retention, and Resilience program will allow the district to hire 2 additional full-time Firefighter/EMTs. Currently, the district is staffed with 1 Full-Time Firefighter/Paramedic Monday-Friday 0800-1700 hrs. With the funding from this grant, we will be able to staff 1 Firefighter/EMT 24/7/365. We will supplement this person with part-time staffing 7 days a week from 0800-1700 hrs. This is a massive step forward for our district and the community as a whole. As we continue to grow we appreciate the community support, after all, you are who we serve!!!!
In December 2021, we recently took delivery of a custom Spartan 4 guys pumper/tanker. This apparatus comes equipped with a 1500GPM pump, 3000-gallon tank, with onboard Generac generator and new Milwaukee battery powered equipment. This truck replaces 2 older trucks in our fleet. We continue to want to provide the citizens and the department members with the best equipment possible. We want to thank the residents and fireboard for your continued support which allows us to maintain our equipment to the top of the standards.
Last week a few members flew to Canada to do a final inspection of a ambulance we ordered in March. After months of creating a spec and getting our hands on demo units we decided to have Demers Ambulance build us just what we wanted. Yesterday we took delivery of the new unit. With 80-85% of our calls being ems related we want to provide the citizens and the department members with the best equipment possible. We want to thank the residents and fire board for your continued support which allows us to maintain our equipment to the top of the standards.
